The Meaning...

Quaintrelle is a historical term denoting a female dandy. A Quaintrelle is a term that describes "A woman who leads a life of passion, which is expressed through personal style, leisurely pastimes, charm, and the pursuit of life's pleasures."
When I accidentally discovered this term, I knew that it would become the name of my label. Because Quaintrelle not only wants to dress women per se, but every gender identity who prefers "feminine" silhouettes, with a certain penchant for nostalgia.

The Mission...

Quaintrelle is an ethically produced label, created by Katrin Hupf, with a strong focus on storytelling, silhouette & textile.
Made to order in my studio in Berlin, with locally sourced Dead Stock fabric, my goal is to be a slow paced response to the fast fashion world.
The current and sadly ever growing mass production of clothing, is one of the main polluters of our beautiful planet. With supporting a small brand like Quaintrelle, you are choosing to contribute to a small batch manufacturing, attention to detail, no cheap labour and initially, a better future.
